The Best Inexpensive Dollhouses for Toddlers
Fisher Price Little People Surprise and Sounds House
This is one of the best selling and most popular dollhouses for toddles and it comes at a really great price as well.
Although this house may not look huge it’s the perfect size for a child between the ages of 18 months and 4 years old. There is plenty to play with that will keep your child busy playing for hours.
There are over 50 sounds, phrases, and songs that are featured in this dollhouse. Some examples of cool features on this house include an alarm clock that sounds and a real light in the refrigerator when you open the door.
You even have the oh-so- laugh inducing toilet flushing sound that every young child loves to hear over and over. Most of the songs and phrases are learning ones that help teach your child different things from colors and shapes to counting.
The house comes with 3 Little People figures and of course there are endless options of more figures that you can buy from the Little People line
A nice feature that parents like about this house is that everything fits right inside and can be closed up for storage. This makes clean up time easier as well as takes up less storage area for the toy as well.
If your little one is a fan of Little People or you just want a smaller, age-appropriate dollhouse, you can’t go wrong with this one.
VTech Go!Go! Smart Friends Busy Sounds Discovery Home
The Vtech Go!Go! Smart Friends have quickly become really popular with toddlers from the train tracks to the animal friends, this series is great for keeping toddlers busy learning new things.
The dollhouse is another great toy in this line that features 7 different interactive points in the home that bring it to life. There are over 35 different sounds, phrases and songs that can be heard from these smart points.
The dollhouse comes with the Miss Norah figure as well as a dog. There are several other Smart Friends characters that can be bought separately.
Along with the house there is also the 4 piece track set for a walkway as well as a grill, and even a working elevator that goes up and down on it’s own.
Although this house can be bought for well under $50, do keep in mind if your child wants any additional Smart Friends figures those can start to add up, but the figures can be used with all the Go!Go! Smart Friends, Smart Animals, and Smart Wheels sets.

KidKraft Florence Dollhouse
This is more of your traditional dollhouse for a child and although this is a quality made one from KidKraft, it won’t cost you half as much as some of the other dollhouses that are available.
This is a wooden dollhouse that comes with 10 pieces of wooden furniture that can moved and placed where your child wants. Some of the furniture includes a grandfather clock, an adorable canopy bed, and a hanging chandelier.
There is plenty of room for playing in the house as it includes 3 floors of fun and a total of 4 rooms. There is even a staircase that goes up the floor on the one side.
Although this house may not be huge in comparison to other more expensive ones, it is large enough that Barbie-sized dolls will fit for when your child gets older or if they already enjoy playing with the larger dolls.
This is probably one of the cheapest dollhouses that I have seen from KidKraft as some of the other ones can run over $200, but it is still an awesome house that has plenty of accessories and space for even more than one child to play at one time.
Imagination Generations Wooden Wonders Tall Dollhouse
You may be shocked at the price of this all wooden dollhouse that includes 4 wooden dolls and 16 pieces of wood furniture to go along with it.
This is truly an awesome dollhouse for the price and best of all some parents really like it because it doesn’t necessarily scream “little girl” with bright pink and purple colors.
There are 3 floors of fun with a total of 6 rooms that kids can decorate and play with. There are even stairs that conjoin the different rooms that make the house more life-like.
The dollhouse is made of an all natural wood and the paints are child-safe.
It’s a pretty large dollhouse as it measures approximately 19.5 inches long and is 24 inches tall.
The dolls that come with the home are made from wood and textiles and are fully poseable as well.
Although it is a high-quality dollhouse that comes at a great price do keep in mind that the maximum doll height you could use with the home is around 8 inches so as your child gets older, Barbie-sized dolls would be too large to fit.
Because of that I would recommend that this house for toddlers ages 2-5 years old and then you if they get into larger sized dolls you could always check out the inexpensive KidKraft dollhouse above or some type of Barbie dollhouse.
If you are looking for a first dollhouse for your young child that won’t cost you a ton of money, then any of the best inexpensive dollhouses for toddlers above would be a great option.
To determine which one is best for your child keep in mind how old your child is as well as any other children who may play with the dollhouse as well. Decide which one works best for your budget and would get the most play out your child.
